WSOPNE Articles Of Faith
Our articles of faith is this; We teach and abide within the Guidelines of that which were agreed to by all the apostles together: Simon or Peter, James and Paul, who of course is our apostle in Acts chapter 15. Also including the letters written by Paul to the Gentiles Churches, who Paul was sent by Jesus Himself to be the Apostle to the Gentiles. We also strive to teach the way Paul had instructed in the letters that he written to Timothy in 1st and 2nd Timothy.
A little Background on Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles
Paul The Apostle To The Gentiles
The Apostle Paul who was originally named was Saul. Saul ho was very devoted to God, but as a non-believer in Jesus. Saul was a strong Orthodox Jew who was very well-educated and who kept and loved the law and the feast. Now Saul did not keep the law perfectly as Christ did of course, and we do not make Paul our Apostle out to be Christ in any way, but rather recognize Paul as being sent by Christ Jesus to instruct us in our christian walk. Jesus who was sent by God the Father to save the whole world yes, but we also recognize that Jesus was was only sent to minister to the Lost Sheep Of Israel and it was Jesus who sent Paul to preach to the Gentiles. Let us point out that much of the instruction or Gospel preached to saved Gentiles and Jewish believers is the same, but some instruction differs and it is critical to know the difference. Let us prove this in scripture.
Mathew quoted Jesus himself, he told his His disciples, go NOT to the Gentiles yet. Now understand that Jesus came to save the whole World but, Jesus was sent to minister to the Israel. Let’s prove this.
Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. KJV
Jesus was sent to minister to Who?
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. KJV
Now did a few Gentiles get saved before Paul was sent to the Gentiles? Yes they did but very few. It was not until several years after Jesus had been crucified that the Holy Spirit fell on Peter in Act chapter 10 where the Gentiles were called in by grace through faith. But even though the Holy Ghost fell on Peter, it was Paul who was then called to be the Apostle to the Gentiles.
7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) KJV
It says this in several places throughout His letters,
Now when Paul was still Saul, he was a man who was a politically powerful Jewish man who also had a Roman citizenship. This citizenship gave Saul rights in Rome that most Jews did not posses. I’m confident when I say this was part of the great plan of God, and God could use Saul’s heart or devotion and God could use this Jewish man who understood the Gentiles well and who was even respected by the Romans. Because of Saul’s great devotion to God even as a non-believer in Jesus being the Messiah, who even persecuted Christians, I’m sure Jesus knew would not convert to being a believer in Christ easily. Jesus dealt strongly with Saul and not many men Got a call to Christ as Paul experienced. Saul was struck blind by Christ Jesus our Savior himself. Jesus called to go preach His Word. Then Saul who Jesus then re-named him Paul, went on to become the Apostle Paul of the Gentiles as he clearly stated in book of Galatians chapter: 2 and Acts chapter: 15 and many other places throughout the New Testament.
Paul then went on to set up all the first Gentile churches. Then later Paul had directed all his letters to the Gentiles Churches that he established except one that he wrote to the Hebrews his brethren. Now many of the principles apply to all believers, but there are some that do not and some of these principles can even be dangerous to us as Gentiles Believers. So come in and read one of the most the hidden messages that has enhance and grown me grown me more spiritually as a christian teacher outside of coming to know Jesus as my Lord. This message in Acts chapter 15 Galatians chapter 2 and Acts chapter 21 had completely changed the way I read and teach the bible. It was the best revelation that God the Father had the Holy Ghost reveal to me as a teacher.
Though most of the principles through-out the Gospels of the Bible of course apply to every Christian, but there are some principles that do not apply to Gentile Believers. Now if this is true, for many Gentile Christians this will pose a Great Question; Are there really two different sets of instructions concerning the Law and Grace, a set of instructions being different for the Jewish Believers and different instructions for the Gentile believers within the “one church?” Maybe we should read what took place in Acts Chapter 15…… An amazing lesson that help you to truly Learn to Rightly Divide the Word of God.
Why is this so important to see?
