The Mystery About Babylon, The Great Fall-part five
As In The Day Of Sodom And Gomorrah
Just Like The Overthrow Of Sodom and Gomorrah
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. KJV
40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. KJV
Now there is a few things I want to point out here about these two prophets, Isaiah and Jeremiah. The book of Isaiah was written in a ten year time span, from about 700 – 690 B.C. Now Jeremiah was written in and about the time of 626 – 586 B.C.
Now look at this, they did not have cell phones, nor a time machine. God is speaking to these guys, and not too far apart in time if you will notice. What was God trying to get across to us in these two separate scriptures, about Sodom and Gomorrah?
This Prophecy about the land would be made desolate and was never to be inhabited again, Like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Gomorrah and it’s surrounding cities were in the Jordan Valley, most of the city of Sodom can not be excavated because it is under water. No one resides there. The city is ash.
Look At This
42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby. KJV
These scripture’s above really discredits the account for Iraq from being the Babylon that Jeremiah prophesied in chapters 50-51 of Jeremiah.
Babylon The Great will Never be inhabited again, like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, it was over right there and then, quickly and in my opinion mercifully. Now these scriptures cannot be talking about the first overthrow of the City of Babylon. Now let me show you why.
There was a Rabbi named (Saadia Gaone) who wrote a paper based on the 10 reasons for blowing the Shofar (trumpet), he wrote this paper based on Isaiah 18:3, The Resurrection of the Dead (the rapture), concerning the feast on Rosh Hashannah which marks the Opening of the Gates or the Jewish New Year. I will show the scripture after this paragraph. But getting back to Babylon being like Sodom and Gomorrah, never being inhabited again, the final destruction of the First Babylon the City, was in 586 B.C.
NOTE: Now here is the problem, this Rabbi wrote this paper in the city of First Babylon 1000 A.d. showing that First Babylon the City was still inhabited long after she was overthrown.. See this would not be as the destruction spoke of in caparison to the destruction of Sodom And Gomorrah, never to be inhabited again? Proving again that this event concerning Babylon the Great has not happened yet.
Now here is that scripture from Isaiah 18:3 that he wrote the Ten reasons of the blowing of the Shofar (the Trumpet) and we will tie this in a little later in the lesson.
Isa 18:3All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. KJV
So what the Rabbi Saadia Gaone was writing about was that the Tenth reason for the blowing of the Shofar was, the resurrection of the dead (again the Rapture). So maybe a better translation of “and ye dwellers on the earth” in Isaiah 18:3 would have been “and ye dwellers in, and not on the earth”. Now this scripture ties in with the timeline about the beginning of the tribulation in the Bible. We will tie this in latter, so make a mental note here also. Now we are going to stop right here and recap what we have covered so far, and the in the next lesson to follow, start to tie all of this together.
In Babylon the Great 1, we show the time line terms, and we see there is a misconception that the word Mystery is about Babylon the Great, and that the lesson is for spiritual leaders to get their garden in order.
In Babylon the Great 2 and 3 we cover some of the many descriptions that divide Babylon the City, and end time Babylon the Great and most important we see that Babylon the Great cannot be in Iraq, that it does not fit any of the descriptions, and that it not Radical Islam, that it is a country or a land.
In Babylon the Great Fall 1, we see the charge against Babylon the Great, and who G-d appoints to bring her down, and that I am not the first to see this.
Then in Babylon the Great Fall 2 we show that it will be as the day when Sodom and Gomorrah fell and was never to be inhabited again, and that its destruction will mark the beginning of the tribulation, and we will start to show this great event that will happen just before it’s destruction.
Now I will start to tie all these loose ends together in the this Final Lesson
